A new regiment…

I feel that I am in continuous search for different ways to expand the way I think about things. One way I have never seriously commited to this journey is exercise. I think that this process has already begun. For the holiday, my parents bought me some multi-terrain quadline skates (Skorpion Skates) so that our dog, Vegas, and I could do this activity together.

Since Christmas day, Vegas and I have skated twice a day. It is through the tired muscles and the companionship with my dog that I will explore a new realm of expanded thinking. It is the separation from human contact for 30 minutes to an hour each day. The experience, I feel, will be close to that of a rider and their horse. Even in the few times we have skated, I have felt a release of stressful energy. I hope to explore these feelings further in time.

  1. I am enjoying falling your blog Dean. Exercise has become my escape, my way to release, my therapy. I swim. It has helped me to connect with myself and improve in many ways. Enjoy the journey!

    • Thanks for reading Darcy! It is good to hear from you and I hope you are doing well. I am trying to keep a balance in the blogs of personal growth and music therapy growth, which are most definitely linked. It encourages me to hear that exercise has helped you in ways that I myself would like to find help.
